My name is Mal.

I’m a songwriter/ musician, lover of words and a dreamer. Someone who believes in human connection above all the distractions that the world throws at us.


I decided to start a business in 2005 when my life had presented a few challenges that I needed to address. I felt that my soul was dying and I needed to pursue the creative being that I knew I was. I asked myself some questions like what is it that human beings truly need?  What are the human givens?

The answer I came up with was food, water, shelter, love and perhaps in the 21st century, clothes (in no particular order)

My belief is that there is abundance on the planet, enough for all to exist with a lifestyle that would be beyond comprehension to our immediate forebears. We’re going through an evolution that is based on greed and selfishness and has demoted a spiritual path to its shadows. What can I do to change my life and that of others? How can I support me and carry my brothers and sisters on my shoulders at the same time?

I decided that I would give 10% of my revenue to various charities that I believed would make a real difference to people s lives, a children with aids charity in London, a charity that helps to make the lives of prostitutes a little easier and a charity helping kids in Africa. These are three that my customers have helped me to help in the last two years.  

When I started, I thought about my vision for the future, what was it I wanted to achieve?

My ultimate vision is to increase the self-esteem of every human being on the planet, but I also know that I have to live in the present and be in the here and now. Trust in the universe and I will be guided by angels, bagels or lawyers to the place where I am meant to be.

As a musician I travelled around the world and made the observation after many conversations with thousands of people on a one to one basis that as human beings we all desire the same things. Peace, love, compassion, connection and harmony.

Everywhere I looked I saw people wearing hate, death and destruction on their chests...I made a commitment to myself that when my touring days were over I would make an attempt at getting people to wear their hearts on their tees.

Positive messages. Wisdom wear.

For me, it’s the last free advertising space that we have so let’s use it to drop a few seeds of love into the hearts of love minded souls...the universe will make the connections.

All we have to do is be proud enough to wear our values and beliefs.
I started to do this, partly as an experiment in my own life to see if it worked for me and slowly but surely my life has started to turn around and be the life I need it to be.

Mahatma Ghandi said...”be the change you wish to see in the world and never has there been a more prescient time to make an effort to dance in Ghandi’s flip flops.
The truth is that we all choose our behaviour every single moment of the day...let’s choose to be positive.

The Buddhists, because of their belief in reincarnation ask that we view every human being we see as though they were your mother in a previous life...if we were all to do this do you think we would have the social, political and cultural disasters that we’re living through right now?...well who knows, but my belief is probably not.
If the whole planet imagined peace then we can have peace.
I know that when it comes down to it all I’m doing is selling a few t-shirts or hoodys, but again if we use the throwing a stone in the ocean analogy we can see that as the stone hits the water we see tiny ripples that spread out in time to get bigger and bigger until eventually they are so big that they can’t be seen anymore...but they are there, waiting to collide with a piece of land or driftwood and bounce back to where they’ll connect with other ripples on their journey. We can also see that every journey of a thousand miles begins with one step and a connection clothing t-shirt of course
